IT Classes
Whether you’re an absolute beginner or you’ve been using a computer for ages, these six sessions are for you! Each week we will show beginners the basic skills needed for getting going with a computer, while at the same time we will offer more experienced users who want to expand their knowledge the chance to be shown different programs and techniques by local people who use computers professionally. You’ll be able to pick and choose whatever it is you’d like to learn more about at whichever sessions you come to. There’ll be refreshments and a chance to chat as well as hands-on use of the computers so the evening will be very informal and enjoyable
If you are an absolute beginner;
Even if you don’t know your mouse from your ram, you’ll find it easy to learn how to use a computer. You’ll soon be able to write that novel or email your friends in Australia, You’ll be surfing the net or printing your digital photos before you know it.
If you’re an experienced user;
Maybe you’ve heard of Web 2.0 but you’re not sure what all the fuss is about? Or maybe you’d like some advice about upgrading your system or buying peripherals?
By bringing together experienced users and experts from the community, we can pool our knowledge and learn from one another in a very relaxed and informal way. The sessions for experienced users will be on a drop-in basis. Just turn up between 7.30 and 9.30pm. If you have a laptop, please bring it along. You can share with us how you use your computer and we can give you advice and try to answer any queries. In fact, if you’re having problems with it, you are welcome to bring your desktop system along if you really want to we’ll help you set it up!
